Hail and Well-met!

You have arrived at Riverton on the evening of the Fall Festival, where every child has the opportunity to watch the magical dance of the faeries in a safe environment.

Our town and our elders see a great need to reflect on how to balance our interactions with the universe. During our festival, white energy raises from the ground while purple energy falls from the skies. It balances in front of our eyes. As it has always been.

Tonight we have a guest, Sara, who is going to read a faerie story from her land, while a bard plays along. We hope you find the performance as mesmerizing as we do.

Since you are likely to return here on a time beyond the festival, the forest's true name is Luthier's Grove, as only the finest musical instruments in the land are created from the sacred wood of the Grove. Once the wood has been blessed by the silent monks, it is taken to the Master Bards for their handling. But that is for another time...

Enjoy the Festival,

Remag Crimson
Soothsayer for the King

Hello!

We give our kids great places and latitude to use their imaginations. Virtual Reality is wonderful for that. We play these and talk about what they make us think of. Our experiences are made to be shared.

I was looking for fantasy audio, and came across this vocal recording. It is just fantastic. The reading is a voice recording from freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/ and was instrumental in the experience of Scary Forest! klankbeeld says: "Dutch girl Sara, 4 years old, reads me a (fantastic/fantasy) story of the lost princess. Out of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves." (Sneeuwwitje en de zeven dwergen)."

After hearing her, I realized music would be needed that could bring out the sad and happy moments in the story, whether I could understand her words or not! As I was perusing some classical work, I found this song, Remedy for Melancholy, by Kai Engel. It made me want to combine Sara's wonderful reading to music. It's shorter than her words by a factor of three, but hearing something so soothing for her book reading felt good to me and I hope it is for you as well. Kai's work is here: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Kai_Engel
